What's Included
- Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380 ACP pistol (manufactured 1989)
- Two 6-round Colt Mustang-pattern single-column steel magazines with witness holes and flush floorplates
This Mustang Pocketlite follows the 1911-style, single-action format with a locked-breech, recoil-operated system. It uses dual recoil springs on a full-length guide rod, paired with a 2.75 inch barrel to manage the .380 ACP cartridge in a compact, micro-size package.
The frame is aluminum alloy to keep weight down, while the slide is stainless steel with rear-only vertical cocking serrations. It features an exposed serrated spur hammer, standard magazine release, and checkered black grip panels set with Rampant Colt medallions. Capacity is 6+1 with the included flush-floorplate magazines.
Sights are practical and durable: a fixed ramped front blade integral to the slide, teamed with a square-notch rear set in a dovetail and drift-adjustable for windage. Controls and safety elements are true to the design, including a manual thumb safety, Series 80-type firing pin block, inertia firing pin, disconnector, and a half-cock hammer notch.
As a first-generation Pocketlite from 1989, this example carries the correct "MUSTANG POCKETLITE" rollmark and PL-prefix serial that confirm the variant. It was made in the United States and reflects the original lightweight Mustang configuration that helped define Colt’s micro-.380 lineup.
