The long-recoil action with friction-ring regulation is set up for 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells and uses a 2+1 capacity. A left-side magazine cut-off allows controlled loading and unloading without cycling the action.
The 26 inch steel barrel wears a ventilated rib with a matted top for glare reduction and a single brass front bead. It is fixed Cylinder choke, denoted by the *** marking, offering a wide pattern for close-range work.
The receiver and barrel are polished blued steel and display factory scroll engraving on the receiver. Markings include Belgian proofmarks, "MADE IN BELGIUM," and the Browning Arms Company St. Louis, Mo. & Montreal, P.Q. address, consistent with period FN production.
The walnut stock features the desirable round-knob pistol grip with cut checkering and an FN "Automatic" hard buttplate. Length of pull measures 14.5 inches, providing a traditional field fit.
