The Witness Steel Compact follows the CZ-75–pattern with a slide-inside-frame layout and a short-recoil, tilting-barrel system. Its compact 3.6 in barrel and all-steel construction provide a solid, controllable platform in .40 S&W with a 9+1 capacity.
Controls are straightforward and duty-focused: a DA/SA trigger, frame-mounted manual safety, and a left-side, standard magazine release. The hammer is a rowel/loop-style spur for confident manipulation.
Sight picture is provided by fixed 3-dot sights, combining a ramped blade front with a single dot and a square-notch rear with two dots. The slide wears rear cocking serrations and longitudinal anti-glare serrations along the top. Both slide and frame have a matte dark finish. There is no accessory rail.
