- Three-port muzzle brake (installed)
This Tavor SAR is a scarce configuration for the U.S. commercial market, factory-marked "TAVOR SAR 7.62 NATO" and stamped "MADE IN ISRAEL," with the importer "IWI US – Middletown, PA." The barrel shows a "P" proof, and the platform is noted for a 20+1 capacity in 7.62x51 NATO.
The 17-inch barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome lined, and threaded. It is stamped "7.62 NATO 1:12 CHF/CL" and paired with an installed three-port muzzle brake. The 1:12 twist supports standard 7.62 NATO projectile weights and velocities.
Built on a bullpup layout with a semi-automatic short-stroke gas piston system, the rifle uses a durable polymer chassis in a tan/black two-tone finish. It includes a left-side charging handle, a right-side ejection-port cover, and a manual safety. Sling-attachment provisions are integrated, and the textured buttpad provides a secure shoulder interface.
The vented polymer fore-end aids heat dissipation, while the full-length MIL-STD-1913 top rail with T-slot numbering offers broad mounting real estate. Controls and features are configured for practical use with 7.62 NATO magazines, and the observed configuration includes one 20-round polymer magazine.
