Built on a 1 mm stamped receiver with a hammer-forged 4340 front trunnion and hammer-forged bolt and carrier, this GF3 Voodoo variant reflects PSA’s forged-component GF3 series. The trunnion is marked with the triangular PSA logo and GF3, and the receiver is marked Palmetto State Armory, West Columbia, SC with model PSAK47. It is made in the United States.
The barrel is 4150 CMV steel and nitride-treated for durability. It measures 14.7 inches and uses a permanently attached JMAC flash hider to achieve legal length. The JMAC flash hider is pinned and welded. This rifle runs a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a 90° gas block and a 1:9.5 twist rate.
Furniture includes laminated multicolor Voodoo wood on the fixed buttstock, lower handguard, and pistol grip, paired with a ventilated metal upper "cheese-grater" handguard. Length of pull is approximately 13 inches, and the stock incorporates a rear sling swivel.
Standard AK iron sights consist of a tangent rear sight leaf with elevation gradations and a hooded front post. A right-side AK side optics/accessory rail offers mounting capability for compatible side-rail accessories. Capacity is 30+1, and this rifle includes a Magpul PMAG AK/AKM 30-round polymer magazine.
