The 7-shot GP100 configuration increases on-board capacity while retaining the robust GP100 DA/SA action. A fluted 7-chamber cylinder with Ruger’s push-button release and a triple-locking system delivers secure lockup at the front, rear, and bottom of the cylinder.
Construction is all stainless steel, including the frame, cylinder, and 4.20-inch barrel, all in a satin stainless finish. The barrel has a full underlug and ejector-rod shroud, with a serrated rib/topstrap to cut glare. Rifling uses a 1:18.75-inch right-hand twist with 5 grooves.
