The Government Model 1991 Series (mfg part number O1991) delivers the full-size 1911 format with a 5-inch barrel, chambered in .45 ACP. The slide and frame are blued carbon steel, and the pistol is made in the United States. Capacity is 7+1, and one 7-round magazine is included.
Controls are traditional and user-focused: single-action operation with a short, solid aluminum trigger and spur hammer. Safety features include a left-side thumb safety, grip safety, and a Series 80 firing-pin safety. An arched mainspring housing provides the classic Government Model grip feel.
The slide is configured with rear cocking serrations and a lowered ejection port. Sights are fixed 3-dot, with a white-dot front and white-dot rear for clear, straightforward alignment. Black checkered synthetic grips with Colt medallions are installed.
Markings are crisp and consistent with the NRM style. The left side of the slide reads "COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL .45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER" with the Rampant Colt, and the right side reads "COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL." The barrel hood is marked "COLT 45 AUTO."
