This Border Special features a 4.25 in match-grade bushing barrel with a flush crown and fluted hood, tuned for reliable feeding with a polished feed ramp and tuned extractor. The forged-steel slide and frame wear a black nitride finish for durability and a clean, uniform look.
The sighting system pairs a Heinie Slant Pro black serrated ledge rear with a gold-bead front post for fast, precise alignment. The slide top is serrated to reduce glare, with rear-only cocking serrations and a serrated rear of slide. The sight radius measures 5.76 in.
Ergonomics and control are enhanced by a scalloped front strap and mainspring housing, a rounded butt with carry cut, and an ultra hi-cut front strap. It wears cocobolo double-diamond grip panels with Nighthawk medallions, and uses a short, solid aluminum trigger with a polished face and a skeletonized rowel hammer.
Built in the USA on the 1911 platform and running single-action only, it includes a manual thumb safety, grip safety, and beavertail grip safety.
