Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

Built by Izhmash in Russia, this Saiga is chambered in 5.45x39mm and uses the AK-74 pattern with a long-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt. The stamped steel receiver includes magazine-well dimples, and a manual bolt-hold-open lever is present alongside the standard manual safety lever. Capacity is 30+1.
The 16.3 in barrel is chrome-lined and hammer-forged, with a plain crowned muzzle and no device installed. Iron sights consist of an AK front sight post with protective ears and an AK tangent rear sight for a familiar sight picture.
This example is a RAAC import from Scottsburg, IN that entered the country prior to the July 2014 U.S. sanctions that halted Russian Saiga imports. Markings include "MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASH," the Izhmash triangle-with-arrow logo, "SAIGA 5.45x39," the Cyrillic "САЙГА," and "RUSSIAN AMERICAN ARMORY COMPANY, SCOTTSBURG, IN." A side-mounted AK optics rail is installed on the receiver for mounting compatible optics.
