The Palmetto State Armory JAKL stands out with its monolithic 6105 aluminum upper, long-stroke gas piston system, and bufferless captured recoil assembly that supports true folding-stock use. It features a 16 inch nitrided 4150V CMV barrel with 1/2x28 threads and a three-prong flash hider, a reversible non-reciprocating side charging handle, and a durable tan Cerakote finish. This rifle includes two 30-round magazines and an installed M-LOK angled foregrip.

The JAKL’s monolithic upper receiver provides a continuous 1913 Picatinny top rail and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, delivering a rigid, single-piece interface for accessories. The receiver is marked "JAKL / 5.56 NATO" with an additional "5.56 x 45" top marking and the manufacturer roll mark "PALMETTO STATE ARMORY / WEST COLUMBIA, S.C."
Its long-stroke gas piston uses an adjustable gas regulator, and the bufferless captured recoil system allows the rifle to operate with the stock folded. The left-side, reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle offers ambidextrous operation while keeping the shooter clear of moving parts.
The 16 inch barrel is made from 4150V CMV steel, finished in a corrosion-resistant nitride, and cut with a 1:7 twist to stabilize common 5.56 NATO bullet weights. Threads are 1/2x28 and capped with a three-prong flash hider.
Furniture includes a side-folding, adjustable stock with a rubber buttpad and a Magpul pistol grip, all finished to match the tan Cerakote receiver. The rifle uses standard AR-15/STANAG magazines, has a manual safety, and ships with no iron sights installed. Length of pull is 11.25 inches. MSRP is $1,299.99.
