The G31 Gen 3 is a purpose-built .357 SIG platform with a 4.49 in steel barrel and polygonal rifling. It is a full-size configuration with a standard-length, non-threaded barrel and is the non-compensated version.
Controls are the familiar Gen 3 layout: striker-fired with Glock's Safe Action System and three passive safeties, a standard left-side magazine release, a single-side slide stop lever, and rear slide serrations for charging. A single-slot accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible lights or lasers.
Sighting is handled by fixed polymer sights with a white-dot front and white-outline U-notch rear. The polymer frame has Gen 3 finger grooves and textured panels. The slide wears a matte nitride finish, and the pistol carries Austrian "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." markings.
Dimensions are practical for a duty-size pistol: overall length of 8.03 in, with an unloaded weight of 23.28 oz (without magazine) and 26.10 oz (with empty magazine). Capacity is 15+1 rounds, and the magazine well is the standard, non-flared pattern.
