Built on the compact P-01 platform, it uses a forged 7075 aluminum alloy frame with an integral two-slot accessory rail and an extended beavertail. The steel slide and alloy frame wear a uniform black polycoat finish, and the pistol retains the model's distinctive ring (rowel) hammer, lanyard loop, and external extractor. Front and rear slide serrations are present.
The 3.75 in cold-hammer-forged barrel is chambered in 9mm Luger. This is a traditional DA/SA pistol with a decocking lever and internal safety features that include a firing pin block and a hammer safety stop. Magazine capacity is 15+1 using the included double-stack steel magazines.
Sighting equipment consists of fixed 3-dot sights with green dots: a dovetailed front sight and a low-profile dovetailed rear. The installed grips are red textured synthetic panels, with factory rubber grip panels also included in the case.
