It includes a match grade, hammer-forged barrel marked "MATCH," a green fiber-optic front sight with a fully adjustable target rear, and the Mega-Lock textured grip with interchangeable backstraps. Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Armory, this model was introduced in 2011 and later discontinued. It comes with three 16-round magazines and the original XD(M) Gear accessories in the factory case.

The XD(M) 5.25 Competition Series configuration features an extended-length 5.25-inch slide with a prominent top lightening cut. The slide wears a matte stainless finish over a black polymer frame, creating a durable bi-tone look. An integral three-slot accessory rail is built into the dust cover.
Sighting is competition-focused with a green fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable, low-profile, cross-pinned rear target sight. The barrel is match grade and hammer-forged, and the barrel hood is marked "MATCH."
This full-size, striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol includes both a grip safety and a trigger safety. The Mega-Lock textured grip and interchangeable backstraps allow the user to tailor the feel to their hand.
Capacity is 16+1 in .40 S&W, and three factory steel magazines are included. Proof and import markings include "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A.," the Croatia crest, and the HS Produkt mark. The slide, barrel hood, and frame carry matching serial numbers.
