The Rapide Ice (OR) configuration delivers a stainless-steel slide and frame with Kimber’s matte silver KimPro II protective finish. A 5-inch, match-grade stainless-steel barrel with a traditional 1911 bushing and a 1:16 twist supports .45 ACP accuracy, while the lowered and flared ejection port promotes reliable ejection.
The slide features stepped front cocking serrations and lightening windows, and it is cut for optics. This example includes a Vortex Defender-ST micro reflex sight with a 3 MOA green dot, paired with a tall white-dot front sight.
Ergonomics and controls are tuned for confident handling: ambidextrous thumb safety, an extended beavertail grip safety with memory bump, an undercut trigger guard, and Kimber Stiplex frontstrap texturing with a checkered mainspring housing. A flared, extended magwell integrated into the mainspring housing speeds reloads. The match-grade, skeletonized V-cut aluminum trigger (blue) and skeletonized commander-style hammer complete the performance package.
The full-length dust cover carries an integrated 1913/Picatinny accessory rail for lights or other rail-mounted accessories. Blue/black textured G10 grip panels provide a secure purchase. Capacity is 7+1, and this pistol ships with six 7-round magazines.
