The Super Target configuration centers on shootability and sight clarity. A fully adjustable target rear sight pairs with a green fiber-optic, dovetailed front blade to deliver a precise and bright aiming reference. The slide is flat-topped with a serrated rib to minimize glare, and it uses rear cocking serrations only along with SIG's external extractor.
The foundation is all metal: a stainless-steel frame and slide beneath a matte black Nitron finish. It is a Government-length build with a 5-inch match-grade barrel and no accessory rail, keeping the classic 1911 profile and balance.
Controls and fire control parts are tuned for target work. The pistol runs single-action with a skeletonized, match-grade trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer. It includes a beavertail grip safety and a left-side thumb safety. Checkering on the frontstrap and mainspring housing, plus checkered walnut target grips with SIG medallions and an integrated magwell funnel, support consistent handling and fast reloads.
Capacity is 8+1 in .45 ACP, and this example includes two 8-round magazines. The slide wears the SIG round logo, and the model's catalog reference is MPN 1911-45-B-STGT.
