Chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle, this H001 offers flexible rimfire options. The tubular magazine loads from the front and uses a removable inner magazine tube with a yellow follower. Capacity is 15 rounds of .22 LR, 17 rounds of .22 Long, or 21 rounds of .22 Short, with 15+1 available in .22 LR.
The rifle uses an 18.5 inch round blued steel barrel with a 1:16 twist. Iron sights include a hooded front blade and an adjustable rear leaf for straightforward sighting. The bore condition and rifling are excellent, with a clean, mirror finish and sharp lands and grooves.
The receiver cover features right-side ejection and 3/8 inch longitudinal grooves for tip-off rings. A quarter-cock hammer provides a traditional safety feature. Length of pull is 13.75 inches, with a factory-listed overall length of 36.5 inches and weight of 5.25 pounds.
Furniture consists of a hardwood straight-grip, uncheckered stock and matching handguard in a reddish-brown finish. The barrel and small parts wear a blued finish, complemented by a black receiver cover. This USA-made model (H001) has been in continuous production since 1997, with more than one million produced by 2017.
