Built in Radom, Poland, the Pioneer Arms Sporter is an AKM-pattern rifle featuring a forged front trunnion, laminated wood furniture, and a blued steel finish. It combines classic AKM construction with practical features like a left-side optics side rail, a 90-degree gas block, and a detent-indexed threaded muzzle. This model ships with a 30-round magazine and the factory box.

The Sporter is built on a stamped AKM-pattern receiver with magazine well dimples and a ribbed top cover. A forged front trunnion anchors the core of the action, while the rifle retains correct AKM details including a 90-degree gas block and bayonet lug. The steel receiver and components wear a blued finish.
The 16.3-inch barrel uses standard 14x1 LH threads and a detent-indexed muzzle, allowing precise and repeatable device orientation. The long-stroke gas piston action is configured for 7.62x39 and the barrel features four-groove rifling with a 1:9 RH twist.
Furniture includes an oil-varnished laminated wood fixed stock and matching laminated lower handguard with a palm swell. A polymer AK-pattern pistol grip is installed. The stock incorporates a rear sling swivel.
Sighting is handled by durable iron sights: a hooded front post and an adjustable tangent rear. A left-side optics side rail is installed on the receiver for compatible side-mount interfaces.
This rifle is manufactured in Radom, Poland and imported by Pioneer Arms USA (Monroe, NC). Markings include: "SPORTER 7.62 X 39 PIONEER ARMS CORP. RADOM, POLAND," "PIONEER ARMS USA MONROE, NC," and the Radom Poland emblem. Capacity is 30+1 and one 30-round polymer magazine is included.
