Built on the AXIS II Precision platform, this rifle uses an MDT-designed aluminum chassis with tan polymer skins for rigidity and consistent bedding. The chassis features a spacer-based length-of-pull system adjustable from 13.5 to 14.5 inches and a skeletonized butt with a removable recoil pad (see condition notes regarding the cheek riser).
The 22-inch heavy-contour barrel is carbon steel, button-rifled, and threaded, paired with a matte black carbon-steel receiver. A two-port side-vented muzzle brake is installed to complement the 1:8 twist and optimize control with 6.5 Creedmoor loads.
Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger with a blade-in-shoe safety provides a crisp, consistent release, and a tang safety offers intuitive operation. The rifle feeds from an AICS-pattern detachable magazine system (capacity 10+1) and includes one 10-round MDT magazine.
