Built in Japan by Miroku and marked with the RR date code, this rifle was manufactured in 1977. The steel receiver and barrel wear a gloss blued finish, paired with a straight-grip walnut stock and matching walnut forend. The furniture is checkered and fitted with a ventilated recoil pad and spacer lines, delivering a traditional BLR profile.
The BLR action uses a rack-and-pinion lever with a rotating multi-lug bolt and right-side ejection. Feeding is via a detachable box magazine, and stated capacity is 4+1. The forend is secured by a barrel band.
Sights include a hooded ramp front and a folding adjustable rear leaf. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, with four plug screws installed. The length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
The 20 inch steel barrel is roll-marked "BLR CALIBER .243 ONLY" and "PATENT NO. 3,377,731." Barrel address markings read "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q" and "MADE IN JAPAN."
