It features the DDM4 Rail 12.0 free-float quad rail and forged 7075-T6 receivers with Type III hard-coat anodizing. This example includes notable upgrades: a Magpul UBR adjustable stock, Magpul K2 pistol grip, ambidextrous extended-latch charging handle, a Daniel Defense vertical foregrip, polymer rail covers, and a rail-mounted folding front sight. The bore is excellent.

The V5 LW configuration pairs a 16-inch lightweight-profile 4150 CMV barrel with a mid-length gas system and a low-profile gas block under the handguard. The barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome-lined, and threaded with an A2 flash suppressor. The 1:7 twist rate supports modern 5.56mm NATO loadings.
The DDM4 Rail 12.0 is a free-float quad rail made from 6061-T6 aluminum, with a continuous T-marked top rail, integral QD sockets, and the Daniel Defense Bolt-Up ring. This provides robust accessory rail space from the receiver forward while maintaining a rigid interface.
The rifle uses forged 7075-T6 receivers finished in Type III hard-coat anodizing. It is marked "DDM4 V5 LW" on the upper, and the lower is roll-marked "Daniel Defense - BLACK CREEK, GA U.S.A., M4 CARBINE, CAL. MULTI." Capacity is 30+1 with the STANAG magazine interface. Made in the USA.
Installed upgrades include a Magpul UBR adjustable stock with QD sling sockets (length of pull 10.75), a Magpul K2 pistol grip, an ambidextrous extended-latch charging handle, a Daniel Defense vertical foregrip, polymer rail covers, and a rail-mounted folding front sight. This model is the discontinued quad-rail V5 LW configuration that predated the later V7 series.
