The MK116 MK1 PRO uses the PWS long-stroke gas piston system with a mid-length piston and a 3-position adjustable gas regulator. This setup is designed for consistent cycling with a clean-running action and user-tunable gas settings.
The 16.1-inch barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde and uses a 1:8 twist. It is threaded 1/2x28 and comes with a multi-port muzzle device installed. The barrel is clearly marked ".223 Wylde" at the muzzle end.
Up front is an approximately 15-inch free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard marked "MK116 PRO" with the PWS logo. A continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny rail runs the full length of the handguard and upper. The flat-top upper is a slick-side design with no forward assist, and an ejection-port dust cover is installed. Sights are not included from the factory.
Controls and furniture are thoughtfully configured: an ambidextrous safety selector, a Radian Raptor-LT ambidextrous charging handle, and a standard right-side magazine release. The collapsible polymer stock features a QD sling socket and a chevron-textured buttpad, with an adjustable length of pull from 10.5 to 14 inches. The textured polymer pistol grip provides a secure hand interface.
The receivers are aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish, and the rifle is made in the USA. Capacity is 30+1, and one 30-round USGI-pattern aluminum magazine is included. The platform is AR-15 and the configuration is full-size.
