This Springfield Armory XD-M 4.5-inch in .45 ACP is a full-size, striker-fired pistol built around a match-grade, hammer-forged barrel and a forged steel slide with a Melonite finish. It features a 13+1 capacity, an ambidextrous push-button magazine release, and a suite of passive safeties. Made in Croatia by HS Produkt and imported/marketed in the U.S. by Springfield Armory, this example includes four 13-round magazines and is part of the original XD-M series.

The 4.5-inch, non-threaded barrel is match-grade and hammer-forged, with a 1:16 twist and a barrel hood marked "MATCH." This configuration delivers the classic full-size XD-M balance in .45 ACP with a 13+1 capacity.
The forged steel slide wears a Melonite finish and provides front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation. A loaded chamber indicator is integrated into the slide. Markings include "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A., MADE IN CROATIA," reflecting its Croatian manufacture by HS Produkt for Springfield Armory.
Controls and user features include a striker-fired action, an ambidextrous push-button magazine release, and passive safeties consisting of a grip safety, trigger safety, and a loaded chamber indicator. The pistol uses dovetail 3-dot iron sights and an interchangeable backstrap system to tailor grip fit.
The polymer frame is finished in black and incorporates an integral three-slot accessory rail for lights or lasers. The slide and frame carry XDm logos. This model is part of the earlier XD-M series and has been discontinued, later superseded by the XD-M Elite line.
