The rifle features the correct A1 upper configuration with a fixed carry handle, teardrop forward assist, and no brass deflector. Sights are A1-type: a carry-handle rear aperture with windage drum and an A1 front sight base that includes a bayonet lug and a pinned sling swivel. The front sight post is marked "UP," and there is an early slip-ring handguard retainer.
