Built on a stamped AKM-pattern receiver with dimples, this Saiga retains the proven long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt, a 90-degree gas block, and a long gas tube. The receiver carries Izhmash triangle-arrow logos and Russian proof marks, along with the Cyrillic marking "САЙГА."

This example was converted from sporter configuration to an AK-style layout using quality aftermarket components. It wears CAA furniture including a UPG pistol grip, a vertical foregrip, and a telescoping stock with cheekpiece on an AR-style receiver-end tube/adapter. A polymer ventilated handguard with integral top and bottom accessory rails and an extended paddle-style magazine release are installed.
Sighting is via standard AK iron sights: an AK post front sight in the front sight block and an adjustable tangent rear. A TAPCO G2 trigger is installed. The rifle is chambered in 7.62x39 with a listed capacity of 30+1 and includes five 30-round magazines.
Imported by RWC Group LLC, Tullytown PA, this rifle entered the U.S. prior to the 2014 sanctions on Russian Kalashnikov imports. The receiver shows a "13" mark adjacent to Russian proofs consistent with early-2010s proofing. The bolt carrier top is stamped "285."
