The XD-9 Service Model pairs a striker-fired, short-recoil tilting-barrel action with a 4" hammer-forged barrel for dependable performance in a full-size format. The 10+1 setup in 9mm Luger meets capacity needs while maintaining the classic XD profile.
Construction emphasizes durability: a forged steel slide with a Melonite finish and a hammer-forged steel barrel with Melonite/nitride treatment and a 1:10 RH twist. The black polymer frame keeps weight in check and is built with an integrated accessory rail.
Sight and control configuration is straightforward and practical, with steel 3-dot sights (white front dot and two white rear dots) and an ambidextrous magazine release for flexible handling.
Safety and status features include a grip safety, trigger safety, a loaded chamber indicator, and a striker-status indicator.
