The SR40 is a full-size, striker-fired semiautomatic chambered in .40 S&W with a 15+1 capacity. This example is the stainless-slide KSR40 (Model 3470) configuration, combining a brushed stainless slide with a black polymer frame. Front and rear slide serrations aid manipulation, and the right side of the slide carries the RUGER • PRESCOTT, AZ USA rollmark. Production year is 2011, and the SR-Series has since been discontinued from the active catalog.
Sight setup is practical and easy to read: a green fiber-optic front sight paired with a drift-dovetailed, screw-adjustable rear. Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a D-shaped magazine release, and a reversible backstrap that allows a flat or arched feel.
