It is a USA-made, discontinued model with 3 inch chambering, selective automatic ejectors, and the tang safety that doubles as a barrel selector. The gun features American walnut furniture with checkering and the classic Ruger red recoil pad, and falls in the 410-prefix serial range associated with late-1980s production (expert-supplied year 1988).

What’s Included
- Ruger Red Label 12 Gauge over/under shotgun
- Full (F) and Improved Modified (IM) screw-in chokes (installed)
The 28-inch blued barrels feature a vent rib with longitudinal serrations and a brass front bead for a clean, uncluttered sight picture. Chambers are cut for 3 inch shells, adding flexibility across target and field loads. The barrels accept screw-in chokes, and this example is set up with Full and Improved Modified tubes.
Controls are classic Red Label: a single selective trigger, a tang-mounted safety that also functions as the barrel selector, and selective automatic ejectors for fast, positive hull ejection. Capacity is two rounds.
The receiver is brushed stainless steel, contrasting with the blued barrels for a distinctive, durable finish combination. American walnut stocks include a pistol-grip buttstock and beavertail fore-end, both checkered. The Ruger red recoil pad with black spacer and medallion completes the look, and length of pull measures 14 inches.
This is a first-generation Red Label, a discontinued model built in the USA. The 410-prefix serial sequence aligns with circa-1989 shipments, and the included expert-supplied production year is 1988. Matching assembly numbers are present on the barrel lug and fore-end iron.
