The upper is a fixed carry-handle A1-style slick-side with no forward assist, featuring the A1 windage drum and a standard ejection port cover paired to a 9mm blowback bolt. Sights are iron: a folding front sight on the handguard cap and an A1 rear aperture in the carry handle.
The 7.5 inch barrel is 4150 CMV, nitrided for durability, and threaded 5/8x24 with a knurled thread protector. The system uses a straight-blowback Colt-pattern 9mm setup and a 9mm-pattern lower with a fixed pinned ejector, running on stick magazines with a 30+1 capacity.
Furniture follows the DOE/M231 profile with a cylindrical polymer handguard that has oval vents, a textured patch, a round slip ring, and a front sling loop. The lower wears a Magpul MOE pistol grip, and the CAR-style stock is collapsible with two positions.
Receivers are aluminum with a black anodized finish over a matte black exterior. Left magwell rollmarks include the H&R lion logo with model designation SMG and caliber marking CAL: 9MM NATO; the right side is marked HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON, WEST COLUMBIA SC, USA. This H&R/PSA revival is a recent release produced in the USA.
