What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 986 revolver
This Model 986 is a Performance Center build on the L-frame, chambered in 9mm Luger with a 7-round capacity and an unfluted titanium alloy cylinder machined for moon clips. The PC-tuned action, bossed mainspring, and trigger overtravel stop provide a refined double-action/single-action trigger experience.
The 2.5 inch two-piece barrel has a slab-sided, heavy profile with a full underlug and recessed crown. Serrations on the top strap and barrel rib add a practical, glare-reducing touch, and the knurled ejector-rod tip aids positive operation.
Construction pairs a stainless steel frame with the matte gray titanium alloy cylinder, yielding a durable and balanced package. The round-butt grip frame wears finger-groove wood stocks with S&W medallions for a traditional look and secure purchase.
Sights include a red/orange ramp front and a fully adjustable square-notch rear to fine-tune point of aim. Overall length is approximately 7.5 inches, with weight approximately 31.4–31.7 oz, offering a compact, manageable format.
This U.S.-made Performance Center revolver is a discontinued model, combining premium materials and features in a configuration that remains practical and distinctive among modern wheelguns.
