The ZIG M45 Carry follows the classic 1911 platform with a Commander-length 4.25 inch barrel, offering a balanced carry size. It uses a GI bushing recoil system with a short guide rod, aligning with traditional 1911 mechanical geometry.
Controls and handling features are purpose-driven: single-action operation with thumb safety and grip safety, a skeletonized, three-hole medium-length trigger, and a skeletonized commander-style ring hammer. The arched mainspring housing has vertical serrations, while the frontstrap is smooth.
The slide is configured with front and rear serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port to assist reliable ejection. Sights are fixed 3-dot with both front and rear units dovetailed. Markings include "Carry" with an eagle logo on the right side of the slide and ".45 ACP" on the chamber hood.
Construction is forged steel for both frame and receiver, paired with smooth two-panel wood grips for a classic appearance. Capacity is 8+1, and this example includes one 8-round magazine made in Italy. Import and proof information is present with the SDS Knoxville TN stamp. Country of origin is Turkey.
