The TEC-22 Scorpion is a semi-automatic, simple blowback .22 LR pistol with a manual safety and a distinctive top-mounted, ribbed charging handle. Its polymer frame and stamped-steel upper cover keep weight low while maintaining durability, and the black polymer grip features horizontal grooves for a consistent hold.
A 4 in steel barrel is paired with fixed iron sights: a protected front post and a square-notch rear. The pistol’s 10+1 capacity is supported by the included factory 10-round magazine, and the platform accepts Ruger 10/22-pattern magazines for added magazine compatibility.
This example is a pre-1994 TEC-22 Scorpion variant produced before the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. Molded markings confirm the model: the left magwell reads "INTRATEC MIAMI, FL. CAL .22LR SCORPION." while the right side bears "WARNING READ MANUAL BEFORE USE PATENTS PENDING."
Made in the United States and designed by George Kellgren, the TEC-22 Scorpion offers a distinctive configuration within .22 LR pistols. It comes with an Intratec factory hard plastic case with raised logo for storage and transport.
