The Saiga-12 IZ-109 is built on a stamped AK-pattern receiver with riveted trunnions and a long-stroke gas piston with rotating bolt. It uses a two-position gas regulator to tune operation for 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells. The receiver is factory-marked 'MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZH MASH' with 'SAIGA-12', Cyrillic 'САЙГА-12', and '12/76 18,3' bore designation. It carries a clear Legion USA, Hallandale Beach, FL import mark, and includes the AK-style left-side optic mounting rail plus a CSS sight rail mount.
This RAAC IZ-109 configuration is known for its 19-inch barrel pattern, and this example is listed with a 20-inch barrel length. The bore and chamber are chrome-lined, and the muzzle wears a Poly-Choke II adjustable choke/flash hider, giving external adjustment at the muzzle. A short Picatinny rail segment is mounted at the receiver/forend junction for accessories. Capacity is 10+1 when using the included 10-round magazine; a 5-round magazine is also included.
The stock system has been upgraded with a StormWerkz stock folding mechanism and a DPH 9-inch skeleton stock, anchored by an internal receiver block/stock adapter and finished with a rubber recoil pad. An axis pin retaining spring (Tromax Shepards) is installed. The handguard is the Saiga-12 KVAR polymer unit, and the package includes a CSS sight rail mount for added mounting flexibility.
Controls and fire control parts are enhanced throughout. It features a Krebs enhanced safety selector lever, CSS trigger guard, and a TAPCO USA G2 single-stage trigger, along with Tromix Saiga fire control group components. The grip setup includes a Saiga grip nut, a Saiga Hogue finger grip in FDE. The bolt and carrier group have been custom polished for smooth cycling.
U.S. importation of new Saiga-12 shotguns ceased after 2014, making domestically available examples finite. This Legion USA–marked IZ-109 combines the core Saiga-12 operating system with a well-executed set of upgrades and accessories.
