The G23 Gen4 platform delivers a compact .40 S&W format with the Gen4 dual recoil spring assembly, Gen4 Rough Textured Frame, and the Modular Beavertail Backstrap System. The enlarged, reversible magazine catch supports left- or right-hand setup, and the Safe Action system provides three passive safeties.
The 4.02-inch steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged with polygonal rifling. The slide wears a matte black finish with rear-only serrations, and the frame incorporates the Glock accessory rail (one-slot) for compatible attachments.
An aftermarket Trijicon tritium front sight (H3 15) is installed, paired with a fixed notch rear. This setup offers a bright, precise front reference while retaining Glock's simple fixed rear sight picture.
Markings and proofs include the slide marked "23 Gen4" and "40," a barrel hood stamped "40" with the Glock logo, and a barrel marked "AT" with proof symbol. The frame is molded "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA."
