The Nickel Rail Full-Size pairs a stainless-steel frame with a Nickel PVD finish on both frame and slide for a uniform presentation. Rear cocking serrations aid manipulation, and the build retains classic 1911 lines with a full-size 5-inch configuration.
Controls and fire controls are set up for precise single-action-only operation, with an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety. It features a skeletonized trigger with lightening cuts and a skeletonized commander-style hammer.
The pistol uses an integral M1913 Picatinny accessory rail with a three-slot dustcover for mounting lights or lasers. A GI-style barrel bushing with a plug recoil system maintains a traditional 1911 mechanical layout.
Targeting is handled by 3-dot dovetailed sights: a front blade with a single dot and a low-profile dovetailed rear. A flared, screw-attached magazine-well funnel supports faster reloads, and wraparound black rubber finger-groove grips provide a secure hold.
Chambered in .45 ACP, the capacity is 8+1. This example is U.S.-made and marked with SIG part number 1911R-45-NI. The case label is dated 09-JUL-2017.
