The heart of this rifle is the Howa 1500 bolt action manufactured in Japan, chambered in .223 Rem. It uses a 4-round internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate and a right-hand bolt handle for smooth cycling.
The 24 inch barrel is a heavy, unfluted profile that is free-floated for consistent performance. It is non-threaded, maintaining a clean muzzle profile.
The Boyds laminated hardwood stock adds stability and durability, with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece for a solid cheek weld and a wide beavertail fore-end for steady support. Ventilation slots in the fore-end, a BOYDS-branded rubber buttpad, and a rear sling swivel stud round out the stock features. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
A one-piece Picatinny scope rail is installed on the receiver. The rifle has no fixed sights, providing a clean setup for mounted optics.
