The P220 Legion is configured as a DA/SA, hammer-fired .45 ACP with a 4.4 in barrel and an exposed spur hammer. It features a decocker and a non-optic-cut slide, staying true to the classic P22X operating format with a recoil-operated, locked-breech system.
Construction highlights include a stainless steel slide and an aluminum alloy frame, both finished in Legion Gray. The frame incorporates a beavertail profile with front strap and under-trigger guard checkering for confident control.
Sight configuration is SIG's X-RAY3 day/night system: a green high-visibility tritium front sight paired with a square-notch rear night sight. The dust cover integrates an accessory rail for mounting compatible lights or lasers. Capacity is 8+1, and three factory 8-round magazines are included.
Legion-specific touches are present throughout, including the Legion wordmark on the slide top and black G10 grips with Legion medallions and chevrons. Markings include "SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON-NH-USA," and the factory case label is dated 05-JUN-2019 and matches the frame serial. Made in the USA.
