The P226 Extreme package pairs the classic P226 design with factory upgrades that matter in use: a Short Reset Trigger (SRT) for faster follow-up shots and textured G10 grip panels for confident control. The external spur hammer and decocker support the DA/SA operating system, while front and rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation.
Construction is straightforward and durable: a black Nitron-finished slide over a black hard-anodized aluminum alloy frame. Fixed, dovetailed 3-dot white sights provide a clear, consistent sight picture. An integrated accessory rail supports the included Olight Baldr S light/laser, which is mounted and ready to use.
This example is chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4.4 inch barrel and a listed 20+1 capacity. It ships with three 20-round magazines and one 18-round magazine, covering both extended and standard-length options for carry or range use.
The frame is marked SIG SAUER INC. NEWINGTON-NH-USA. The P226’s design lineage traces to the U.S. XM9 pistol trials, and the factory Extreme package was offered circa 2011–2015 with a limited reintroduction in 2018.
