This Government Model retains the traditional 1911 configuration with a single-action, semi-automatic operation and Series 70 firing system without the Series 80 firing-pin block. The full-size platform and 5-inch barrel deliver the classic Government profile in .45 ACP.
The slide and frame are finished in blue, with polished flats and matte rounds that highlight the Colt Rampant Colt logo on the slide. It uses rear-only vertical cocking serrations and a standard-size ejection port.
Ergonomic features include an arched mainspring housing and a smooth front strap. The pistol is equipped with a short, solid trigger and a spur hammer, along with a manual thumb safety and grip safety. Double-diamond checkered wood grips complete the classic look.
Fixed sights consist of a small blade front and a square-notch rear. Capacity is 7+1. The 73B serial prefix denotes reissue production, and this example was made in the United States.
