The PPQ M2 5-inch Long Slide configuration adds slide length and mass along with lightening windows, delivering a longer sight radius while keeping reciprocating weight balanced. The slide includes forward and rear serrations and serrated top flats for confident manipulation. A 3-slot accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights or other accessories.
Controls are modern and user-focused. The M2 reversible push-button magazine release and ambidextrous slide stop provide flexibility for different shooters. The striker-fired, pre-cocked trigger features a short reset and a blade-in-trigger safety.
Sighting equipment is straightforward and serviceable: 3-dot iron sights with a screw-retained, replaceable front sight and a drift-adjustable rear sight. The pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger and uses standard 15+1 capacity magazines.
Construction pairs a steel barrel and slide in black with a black glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame. Interchangeable backstraps and ergonomic texturing support a secure, tailored grip. The pistol carries German DE CIP N, Ulm antler, and eagle/N nitro proofs, along with a "Made in Germany" marking and a Walther Arms Fort Smith, AR import mark. The PPQ series was discontinued by 2023 and succeeded by the PDP, underscoring the PPQ’s place in Walther’s modern lineage.
