Factory markings include CRVENA ZASTAVA and MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA, with an import mark from GRC–Martinsburg, WV (Gibbs Rifle Company).

The M70 pairs a compact profile with all-steel construction and a blued finish, delivering a solid feel in a streamlined format. Its single-action, simple blowback system and exposed hammer with a rounded spur provide straightforward operation.
Controls and safety features include a manual safety and a magazine disconnect. A red paint dot marks the fire position on the safety, and the extractor tip is red-painted and visible through the ejection port.
Sighting is handled by a fixed blade front and a drift-adjustable rear notch. The slide adds practical touches with rear slide serrations and an anti-glare serrated top rib. Black checkered polymer grips with Zastava monogram medallions offer a secure hold.
Markings and provenance are clear: CRVENA ZASTAVA … Cal. 7,65mm on the left side of the slide, MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA on the right, and the import mark GRC–Martinsburg, WV on the frame right. This example retains matching serial numbers across the frame, slide, and barrel hood, and follows a compact steel design derived from Tokarev-lineage architecture.
