The P322 uses a blowback, single-action-only system with an internal hammer. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the manual thumb safety and slide catch, supporting left- or right-handed operation. The flat-faced, single-action trigger provides a consistent break and accepts interchangeable shoes; this pistol comes with a curved shoe in addition to the installed flat profile.
A hard-coat anodized aluminum slide with front and rear serrations rides over a stainless-steel internal chassis and polymer frame. The combination keeps weight to about 17.1 oz unloaded and offers durability with a clean, black finish.
Green fiber-optic sights deliver a bright, easy-to-pick-up sight picture, with a front rod and a rear notch. A 3-slot M1913 accessory rail on the dustcover allows mounting of compatible lights or other rail-mounted accessories. Molded stippling on the grip provides consistent traction.
Capacity is 20+1 rounds of .22 LR, and the pistol ships with two factory 20-round magazines.
