The 940 platform uses a refined gas-operated, semi-automatic action designed for extended maintenance intervals. In practical terms, it is built to run clean longer, a benefit for high-round-count training or match days.
Controls are competition-oriented: an oversized charging handle, an oversized paddle-style bolt release, and an enlarged, beveled loading port support fast, positive handling. The extended tubular magazine delivers 9+1 capacity.
The 24-inch vent-rib barrel is threaded for Accu-Choke and comes with an extended choke tube. A green fiber-optic front sight provides a bright aiming reference. The receiver is aluminum alloy with a matte gray anodized finish and is drilled and tapped for optics.
The shotgun wears a matte black synthetic stock and forend with molded texturing for grip and a ventilated recoil pad. It features a 14-inch length of pull, an ambidextrous tang safety, and chambers both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. Made in the USA.
