The Government-length 5-inch barrel and approximately 8.5-inch overall length deliver the classic full-size 1911 format. Capacity is 7+1 rounds in .45 ACP, and this example includes two 7-round stainless-steel single-stack magazines.
Built on forged stainless steel, both the slide and frame wear a stainless finish. The slide is configured with front and rear cocking serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, and dovetailed sights. Fixed Novak-pattern 3-dot sights consist of a dovetailed front blade and a screw-retained, dovetailed rear.
This Series 80 pistol incorporates a firing-pin block along with a manual thumb safety and a grip safety. It is outfitted with a skeletonized Commander-style hammer and a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum trigger. The dust cover is non-railed, the frontstrap is smooth, and the mainspring housing is flat and serrated.
The pistol is fitted with black checkered synthetic double-diamond grips with Colt medallions, and the sale includes a separate set of Colt double-diamond checkered wood panels. The factory case label lists model 01070XSE and matches the pistol’s serial number, confirming the correct configuration.
