Built on the 2011 platform, the HD C3.6 uses a 7075 aluminum alloy frame and receiver to keep weight to approximately 24 oz without a magazine while maintaining rigidity. The textured 2011 grip module with Staccato star logo and the low-profile flared magwell support fast, consistent reloads.
The 3.6 inch steel bull barrel features a durable DLC finish, and the captive flat-wire recoil system is tuned for the short slide and barrel length. An external extractor and enlarged ejection port contribute to reliable cycling.
The slide incorporates wrap-over front and rear grasping serrations for confident manipulation. It is machined with an optic cut and shipped with the cover plate installed. The HOST direct-mount interface is included, and this pistol comes with a mounting plate for Trijicon RMR/SRO pattern optics. Iron sights are installed, with a ramped tritium front night sight featuring a green dot.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including thumb safeties and slide stops, with a reversible magazine release and a curved, lightened aluminum trigger shoe. The design omits a grip safety by intent. A railed dustcover with two accessory slots adds light or laser mounting flexibility. Capacity is 15+1 with Glock 19–pattern magazine compatibility.
