The DDM4 PDW is Daniel Defense's compact .300 AAC Blackout AR pistol introduced in 2020, built around a 7" cold hammer forged, chrome-lined CMV barrel and a pistol-length gas system. It features a linear compensator that directs blast forward, a free-float MFR XL 6.0 M-LOK handguard, and a collapsible PDW-style brace for a short overall length of approximately 20.75–24.75 in. At about 5.7 lb, it balances portability with the robust materials and finishes Daniel Defense is known for.

The 7" barrel is chrome-moly vanadium steel with a cold hammer forged, chrome-lined bore and S2W profile for durability in a compact format. It is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a linear compensator to push blast forward. The 1:7 twist is optimized for a broad range of .300 BLK loads.
The pistol-length gas system pairs with a free-float Daniel Defense MFR XL 6.0 aluminum handguard that uses the M-LOK interface. A continuous top Picatinny rail with T-marks T1–T29 runs the length of the receiver/handguard, and the handguard is marked "MFR XL 6.0 M" with Daniel Defense and U.S. patent information.
Controls and features include a manual safety with left-side "SAFE" and "SEMI" selector markings, an ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP gas-mitigating charging handle, dust cover, forward assist, and shell deflector. The textured polymer pistol grip with palm swell provides a secure hold.
The AR-15–pattern receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. A collapsible PDW-style brace with hook-and-loop strap keeps the footprint short while maintaining control. Made in the USA, the DDM4 PDW offers a 30+1 capacity in a platform weighing about 5.7 lb with an overall length of approximately 20.75–24.75 in.
