Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and import-marked by Springfield Armory, it features a hammer-forged barrel, steel 3-dot sights, and an integral three-slot accessory rail. The XD Tactical configuration pairs a 5 inch hammer-forged steel barrel with a full-size frame for .45 ACP. The slide is stainless with front and rear serrations, and the frame is black polymer with molded textured grip panels. The integral accessory rail features three slots for mounting compatible accessories.
Controls and safety systems are comprehensive. It is striker-fired with the USA Action Trigger System, and includes a grip safety, trigger safety, firing pin block, loaded chamber indicator, and striker status indicator. The magazine release is ambidextrous for easy operation from either side.
Sights are durable steel, with a white-dot front and two-dot rear, both dovetailed for secure fitment. The barrel uses a 1:16 twist to stabilize .45 ACP projectiles, and the bore condition is excellent. Matching serials are present on the slide, barrel, and frame.
