This Custom CDP II comes from Kimber’s Custom Shop as part of the Custom Defense Package series, pairing a government-length 5 inch slide and barrel with an aluminum frame to keep weight to 31 oz (empty). The two-tone KimPro II finish presents a Satin Silver slide over a charcoal-gray frame for a clean, functional look.
Accuracy features include a match-grade barrel and match bushing with a 1:16 LH twist and a full-length guide rod. The slide is cut with front and rear cocking serrations, and the ejection port is lowered and flared. Carry Melt dehorned contours reduce sharp edges for smooth handling.
Controls and safeties are comprehensive: single-action, semi-automatic operation with an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, and a Series II firing pin block (grip-safety activated). A skeletonized three-hole aluminum trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer provide a crisp, responsive feel.
Grip and sighting details include fixed low-profile 3-dot tritium night sights, 30 LPI checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard, and checkered wood double-diamond grips. Capacity is 7+1, and overall dimensions are 8.7 inches in length and 5.25 inches in height. Made in the USA.
