This 1908 Vest Pocket is a micro .25 ACP with a 2.1 inch barrel and a 6+1 capacity, built on Colt’s blued steel frame and slide. It is striker-fired, simple blowback, and hammerless, combining compact size with straightforward operation.
Designed by John M. Browning as the American counterpart to the FN 1906, this example carries its correct 1920-era markings: the right-side legend reads "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 25," and the left-side patent line runs through Jan. 25, 1910 with no 1917 date, consistent with this serial range.
The slide shows rear vertical serrations and an external extractor. Sighting is through a small front blade and a longitudinal top U-groove channel, giving a fixed, low-profile sight picture appropriate to its size and era.
Original-style black hard-rubber grips feature the checkered "COLT" banner with the Rampant Colt motif. The slide bears a matching number on its underside, aligning with the pistol’s serial, a desirable detail for collectors.
