The M&P9 M2.0 Full Size pairs an optics-ready slide with S&W's C.O.R.E.-style optics cut and a factory mounting plate. The installed Viridian RFX15 provides a bright green dot and co-witnesses with the tall steel sights, combining fast target acquisition with immediate use of the irons.
Built on a polymer frame with an extended rigid embedded steel chassis, this striker-fired pistol uses a flat-face, two-piece trigger and a trigger safety. It includes ambidextrous slide stop levers and a left-side magazine release, plus a sear deactivation/takedown system that allows disassembly without pulling the trigger.
The 4.25 in stainless steel barrel and Armornite-finished slide offer durability, while the slide incorporates an external extractor and a loaded-chamber witness opening on the barrel hood. The pistol wears tall/optic-height steel sights with a white-dot front and plain black rear for a clear sight picture with or without the optic.
Capacity is 17+1 in 9mm Luger, and this example comes with four 17-round magazines. A 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail supports lights or other rail-mounted additions. The Maryville, TN U.S.A. rollmark reflects current U.S. production.
