Product Description

B.C. Miroku Model 500 Over/Under 20 Gauge, 26 Inch Barrels, 3 Inch Chambers, Factory Scroll Engraved, Charles Daly Import

This B.C. Miroku Model 500 is a Japanese-made, Charles Daly–branded over/under 20 gauge from the 1963–1976 era, distinguished by extensive factory scroll engraving on the receiver. It features 26 inch barrels with 3 inch chambers, a matted top rib with a single front bead, and a gold-tone single trigger with a top-tang safety. Checkered walnut furniture with a beavertail forend and capped pistol grip completes a classic field-ready configuration with refined details.

The receiver shows extensive factory scroll engraving across the flanks and top, paired with a blued finish over steel. The beavertail forend uses a Deeley-style latch, and the buttplate is marked B.C. Miroku. Barrel markings include “CHARLES DALY 20GA-3.” The observed S-prefix serial aligns with known Charles Daly import production by Miroku.

With 26 inch barrels and 3 inch chambers, this Model 500 is set up for versatile 20 gauge loads. The matted top rib and single front bead provide a clean sighting plane, and the break-action over/under layout offers a two-round capacity. A 13.5 inch length of pull supports a compact, fast-handling fit.

Controls are straightforward and familiar: a top-tang safety and a single, gold-tone trigger. The checkered walnut pistol-grip stock with white-line spacer and a matching beavertail forend give it a secure, traditional feel while complementing the engraving and blued metalwork.
